The Wool Tower Wedding - Broughshane
Jo + David. Wow, where do we start with this wedding? We met Jo and David a year before their wedding and we knew instantly we loved this couple. They had an enormous amount of energy, the kind of couples we love.
Jo and David went through the plans for their day with us and we got instantly excited. They told us this was not going to be a normal wedding. It wasn’t, and I don’t think we will ever shoot a wedding like theirs again. It was epic!
Jo and David chose an old rustic wool mill the Wooltower, Broughshane in County Antrim, Northern Ireland to get married. This place was incredible.
We love couples that don’t hesitate to show emotion. As the ceremony started there was an abundance of emotion from David as Jo floated down the aisle bringing most of the foliage decorating the floor with her in her floating gown.
After the ceremony and hugs and kisses from guests and family we took the guys off to shoot some beautiful pictures away from the craziness to enjoy that real quiet special time. Hey we just got married!
Meanwhile back at the celebrations, the fire-eaters, a bouncy castle, lawn games, and a treasure hunt kept everyone entertained.
At speeches, I don’t think there was a dry eye around, heartfelt speeches, along with rib hurting laughter. Jo and David sat us right in the middle of their friends and family for dinner they wanted us the feel part of their wedding, not just the photographers.
When the party came later, Jo and David arranged for Burlesque Dancers and a Male Dance Troop to kick off the party. Having come from a dance background this was very Jo.
Jo and David planned their wedding their way. It was mental, crazy and it was awesome to be part of it.
Jo and David, we love you!
